Project description
The “Volkswagen Group India” plant in Pune is one of the most modern production sites of the Volkswagen Group and includes all stages of a complete production process, from the body shop to the paint shop to assembly. The plant area in Pune covers an area of 2,300,000 m2, of which around 194,000 m2 are only cultivated.
Currently, around 110,000 vehicles are produced by the “Polo” in a special hatchback version, the “Vento” and the ŠKODA Rapid.
The manufacturing process is characterized by state-of-the-art production methods that place the highest demands on production quality and environmental compatibility. Since mid-December 2014, the newly installed engine production facility in the Pune plant, including the connected engine analysis center, has also been producing the 1.5 TDI specially designed for India.
IGP Completing Projects was entrusted with the supervision of the new construction of the plant.
