Acquisition of myhive ahead of schedule and within budget

  • IGP Ingenieur GmbH NL West was able to hand over myhive offices at Düsseldorf’s Medienhafen four weeks ahead of schedule
  • Building acceptance with the building authority already took place in April without defects
  • No material bottleneck thanks to early digital planning

With myhive Medienhafen, Germany’s first myhive is opening in Düsseldorf. The office tower, which is completely flexible in terms of its floor plans, offers 21,180 m² of modern office space as well as co-working spaces for companies with two or more workstations. When the LEED Gold award-winning architectural complex welcomes its first tenants in October as planned, Dr. Harald Leonhardt will have his work cut out for him. The board member of IGP Ingenieur AG’s West Branch has already taken over the completion, documentation, handover, remediation of construction defects and maintenance of the first construction phase. In the second construction phase, which was handed over to the client Immofinanz four weeks ahead of schedule and within budget, Leonhardt took over overall project management.

“Thanks to the excellent cooperation with ZÜBLIN and our long-term digital planning, material shortages were not an issue on this project,” Leonhardt explains, adding, “Due to the seamless digital construction monitoring and the strict implementation of the Corona hygiene regulations, we were able to avoid downtime and even exceed the schedule with full cost transparency. Accordingly, the construction acceptance with the construction supervision also took place without any complaints, which cannot be taken for granted in a project of this size and complexity.”

The next major project is already waiting for Leonhardt and his team: For the construction of the FOUR high-rise ensemble in Frankfurt/Main, the IGP engineers will again ensure defect-free construction on time and within budget.
